Abgar xx had 8 Approved sons. He had 32 Keur mares, 41 ster mare, 34 preferent mares, and and amazing 50 prestatie mares. Abgar xx, frequently appears in jumping pedigrees but also is seen in dressage horses. The combination of Joost and Abgar xx is probably one of the most important for the production of international show jumpers, including the jumping sire Ommen and VIP. Abgar xx represents the Owen Tudor (Hyperion) sire line which also culminates in the important Hanoverian sire, Laurie's Crusador xx, through Welsh Pageant. In the U.S., Abgar's sire, Abernant, is probably best known as the sire of the USET jumper of the 60s, Aberali won the Puissance at Aachen in 1967 at 6'10". Abgar produced 84 offspring that competed at higher levels in Show Jumping and 25 in Dresaage.
