Zavall VDL jumped very well last night in Den Bosch, Netherlands at the finals of the stallion competition 1.30/1.35m. With his rider Jur Vrieling they became second at the show, which made him the Champion of the Stallion competition series for Z / ZZ (1.30/ 1.35 meter).

Zavall VDL is sired by Casall who is currently very successful at Grand Prix level with Rolf Goran Bengtsson. Maternal grand sire is the ‘Keur’ stallion Emilion, a World Cup winner and ultra-producer of Grand Prix horses. Winning offspring are Tomboy, Seldana, Ukinda, VDL Emmerton and more. Further down the pedigree we find two stallions that anchor most jumper breeding - Cor de la Bryere and Alme’. A few of their outstanding and important sons are: Caletto I and II, Corrado, Corland, Jalisco and Galoubet.
Zavall’s dam line is proven in Hannover as one which produced the Grand Prix winner and approved stallion Orame, as well as the international jumpers Dorena II, Haleska, Mr.Itt and Zetor.
Zavall’s half brother Merlin was Champion of the 5-year old jumpers on USA’s East Coast series. His dam is the ‘Elite’ mare Remilia, who performed a good IBOP test. She is a daughter of the ‘Keur’ mare Evita.
Zavall VDL scored well in the 70 day KWPN Stallion Testing for his way of jumping and his gaits. He demonstrates elasticity in his movements and his jumping and shows good technique and very good reflexes.
In sport Zavall VDL has had fantastic results. He jumped at the World Championships for 6-year olds with Cameron Hanley and qualified for the finals with two clear rounds. His willing character, technique and fast reflexes combined for him to win the stallion competitions in Hengelo and Roosendaal. Ridden by Jur Vrieling, Zavall was overall Champion of the stallion competition for the 1.30m class at the KWPN Stallion Show.
The first offspring of Zavall VDL are very promising. He received a good foal report and his daughter Darlinde DN was Reserve Champion of the jumper bred foals at the Finals of the National Foal Championship. Fazall took 11th place at the National Foal Show in Ermelo, and Fleetwoud Mouley was Champion at the foal show in Etten Leur. His first 3 year olds are displaying their quick reflexes and functional technique.

Expected breeding value: 157
